Chapter 1155: All Crazy Golems.
Chapter 1155: All Crazy Golems.
“That was way too easy. It just makes me jealous of the youngest and Hunter, they must be having all the fun now, with the freedom to kill anything that stands in their path, along with a Tier 8 boss in the end” Saint said grumpily.
“Well, I’ll be taking his head and lord token back, you stand guard here until Master assimilates this place into our territory,” Magnito said as he caught the head of the human lord that had just been severed by Saint’s sword aura.
He then walked toward the middle of the room and dug his hand into the cube, pulling out the Level 2 lord token embedded within it.
Yes, this was Alec making use of the opportunity presented to him to expand his territory, since he had been attacked first, he believed it was fully within his right to do as he pleased and conquer the land.
That was also why he had specifically ordered them not to kill the civilians, because he still needed the citizens, he had a feeling that the faith points were linked to his people, though he still didn’t know what they were used for, as he had yet to see the system spirit since he arrived to question it.
The system spirit had been busy drifting through his palace as if it belonged to it instead. Still, Alec was sure the faith points would prove useful in the future.
After that, Magnito used mana speech to address all the residents of the city, telling them not to worry, that no harm would come to them, and that a human lord from not too far away had conquered their city.
From now on, they would fall under his jurisdiction, and in no way would they be mistreated because of the actions of their former lord.
Once he was done, Magnito sped off on his silver board, though his body had already returned to the normal form, back to the plain steel humanoid golem form, however his presence still carried the same oppressive air.
Meanwhile, the ten captain-rank sword golems under Saint were spread out across the city walls while shutting the gates, they would act as guards until Alec finally decided who would move in as the sub-lord of the city and take charge of things.
Not too far from the city, a few spies planted by other nearby Tier 7 human lords had already witnessed everything.
This had been their usual way of gathering information on their neighbors, but after the attack happened, some of their people had split from the main group while the rest stayed behind.
And after the assault on the city began, they were grateful that a few of them had used the chaos as an opportunity to slip out, because the ten demons stationed at different corners near the city exits had made it nearly impossible for anyone to leave afterward.
So they sent carrier pigeons out with messages tied to their legs, detailing how the battle had played out, to the colleagues who had managed to escape earlier. That way, the news could still reach the human lords who had been spying on the city.
The captain-rank sword golems saw the birds, but they ignored them. Clearly, Saint’s orders had been to allow information to leave, not people, he was truly hoping that, by some miracle, another group would come and attack, because for the first time, he didn’t have to compete with the other top golems for battle.

Elsewhere, the towering figure of both Vermis and Hunter could be seen as they finally reached the region of the High Orcs. However, unlike the human lords, these ones didn’t have many orcs guarding the city walls.
There were only a few orcs at the gate, casually chatting among themselves. Seeing this, Hunter simply kept walking.
“You just have to stay by my side when the battle gets tough, you don’t need to do too much,” Hunter said as he turned and started giving Vermis instructions, his metallic voice echoing outward.
But then the orcs at the gate finally noticed them and began shouting in the Orcish language, however before Hunter could say jack, Vermis, who had been standing beside him, blurred forward like a red flash.
In an instant, he swung his hand, and the heads of the five orcs sitting by the gate all flew off at once, their headless bodies dropping straight to the ground as blood spurted everywhere.
“Come out,” Vermis said as he cast his own summoning spell, as the blood pooling from the severed necks began to glow, and a magical rune appeared beneath it.
Then Tier 5 flesh golems started rising from the blood.
As for the flesh golems, their appearance was more like that of a Frankenstein creation, though they seems to have been formed from the bodies of different creatures, however Vermis’s flesh golems were not stitched together with needles and thread, but bound instead by blood magic, making them more durable and far harder to bring down.
But these were just five of Vermis’s summons, the other four had not yet been called, and among those other five was his main captain.
Hunter, seeing how wildly Vermis, who had been quiet the whole way—was now acting, started wondering if there were any calm and sane golems among his master’s main forces, he thought long and hard about it before finally arriving at one conclusion.
There were none.
Because even he himself was crazy in his own way.
“Awhhooolllll!”
The moment Hunter stepped into the city, he heard a loud howl that struck straight into his metallic body, he could tell that the main force was finally coming.
Everything Vermis had just dealt with had only been a bunch of ordinary orcs—the green ones. Hunter was certain that the ones coming now were the Red Orcs, the ones who called themselves the apex of their race: the High Orcs.
“Hey, youngest, summon all your minion golems, the battlefield is about to get very, very crazy,” Hunter said as he removed the long two-handed steel sword from his waist and drove it hard into the ground.
The moment the sword struck the earth like that, metallic runes began engraving themselves across the ground, with Hunter standing at the center of it all.
Then, in the very next second, a portal opened behind him as the clanging of steel against steel rang out.
As various iron golems emerged from the portal, their bodies all shaped like medieval knights, they immediately greeted, “Lord,” the moment they appeared, causing Hunter to nod his head.
As for Vermis, he finally clapped his hands together and made hand signs, deciding it was time to summon the remaining five of his minions, as another portal opened behind him, but this one carried a far more nefarious aura.
Death Qi gushed out from the new portal, and the first thing to emerge was the head of a death horse wreathed in blue flames.
Following behind it was the figure seated atop the beast—a death knight.
However, it wasn’t just any death knight. It was a Dullahan. It held its severed head in its left hand while its right hand gripped the reins of the horse. Three other different types of death knights stepped out after the Dullahan, each one clad in battle armor with longswords hanging at their waists.
Though they each wore different helms’ to cover their face, however; the soul flames burning in their eye sockets still gave a glimpse of the bony faces beneath, and finally, the last one came out.
The top captain-rank golem of Vermis was a Draugr.
It was not only a towering undead, but it had muscles, muscles that were equally intimidating, it wielded a massive axe coated in an icy aura, while its beard fluttered and a green soul flame burned within its eye sockets.
It looked every bit like a viking, the only difference being that it was a dead one.
“Lord.” The moment he appeared, he bowed his head toward Vermis, but while they were busy summoning their reinforcements, the High Orcs had already arrived, with their green Orc army following behind them.
Then the massive number of Orcs began to part, giving someone from the back the chance to move forward, a few seconds later, Orga, the second-in-command of the High Orcs, finally stepped to the front, with no weapon in hand.
When Orga stepped forward, she raised her hand, and the rowdy orcs behind her instantly fell silent. The first thing she did was look at the bodies sprawled across the ground before turning her gaze to the golems standing ahead of her.
“I have come to a conclusion just from my observation. It seems you did not come here for peace, but for war. Isn’t that true?” Orga asked.
“Of course. We came with a mission to kill your lord,” Vermis replied before Hunter could even speak.
“If that is the case, then there is no further need for conversation. Kill them all except for that one the lord would love to know who their master is, it’s been long any human lord tries such rubbish,” Orga said pointing at Vermis, when she was done with her speech to the Orc army she turned around and began walking back the way she had come.
She had not even fully left before the orc army charged straight at the golems.
